What makes a great care home laundry assistant?
Organisation and time management. Handling large amounts of laundry and ensuring it is all returned to the correct people takes efficient time and resource management. You will also need to ensure a systematic approach and make sure the laundry area is always kept tidy.
Empathy and respect. Due to medical conditions or deteriorating health, some residents’ personal washing may have more spills and stains on. We hope you understand the importance of handling residents’ personal items with respect, ensuring they maintain the utmost comfort and dignity.
Care and attention to detail. Being able to identify stains, damage or repairs needed for personal washing items is key to this role. We want you to return all items in great condition, maintaining their quality and hygiene.
