Our care assistant positions (with both day and night shifts available) help provide compassionate and dignified personal care for our residents, as outlined in each individually tailored care plan. You will help the senior care team deliver our person-centred approach to care, supporting residents and their loved ones to engage as fully as possible in our community in the home.

What makes a great day & night care assistant in a care home?

Compassion and empathy. Our care assistants are an important part of the day-to-day lives of our residents. Whether you are working in the day, or supporting residents overnight, we want you to build strong, trusting connections founded on care and compassion to help meet the needs of each person in our care.

Patience and resilience. Working in a care can have its challenges. We are looking for someone who is calm and composed when managing difficult situations. From residents who may feel disoriented during busy days or may experience loneliness overnight, we hope you support them with care and compassion to nurture a supportive, safe environment.

Attention to detail. Making sure you carry out residents personal care plans, administering medications correctly, and responding proactively in changes to health are essential in this role. As you will be interacting with them on a daily basis and overnight, you will be in the best position to notice subtle changes in their condition and ensure timely responses to support them.
