What makes a great care home assistant manager?

Leadership and decision-making. We’re looking for someone who can help inspire and motivate the care team in their home. You will support the home manager and deputy to deliver outstanding care by making informed, decisive decisions to improve operations within the home.

Problem-solving and adaptability. As an assistant manager, we want someone who is proactive in identifying and addressing challenges within the home and is relentless in seeking solutions to continually improve the care we provide to meet our residents’ needs.

Organisational and time management skills. You should be able to prioritise multiple management tasks alongside direct care responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting the manager and deputy with admin tasks, scheduling and managing resources to ensure the care home runs smoothly.
