What makes a great care home housekeeper?
Attention to detail. We need housekeepers who thoroughly clean and sanitise all areas of our home, making sure not to miss any spots in order to keep high standards of hygiene to make sure our residents stay healthy.
Physical stamina and strength. Housekeeping duties around our homes can be physically demanding, and may include lifting, bending and moving furniture or equipment around so you can thoroughly clean an area.
Empathy and compassion. As a regular point of contact in our residents’ lives, our housekeepers should show genuine care and consideration for the personal spaces of individuals living with us whilst going about domestic duties. Maintaining the privacy and dignity of residents is a top priority.
