Your Role

JOB DESCRIPTION

Clare Lodge in St Albans is looking for a Hosting Assistant to support the Care staff within the home, to support residents well being as well as assist the home with any ad hoc tasks.

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • To support residents to keep in touch with the community via skype, face time, writing letters.
  • To be the nominated person managing visitor’s guidance. This will include guiding visitors to hand washing facilities and escorting them to their named resident as per the protocol to for each visitor which must be signed.
  • Engaging with residents in meaningful activities.
  • To assist with making beds.
  • Serving meals in dining rooms (but not assisting individuals to eat their meal)
  • Providing and changing water jugs within resident’s bedrooms
  • Answering the telephone taking messages and ensuring the relevant person receives the message
  • Answering the door whilst understanding restrictions and security checks
